Thank You. Perhaps you are pulling some punches, Corporations in fact have more rights, more protections and perhaps most apallingly, more freedoms under the law as it currently stands. This all came to pass because we largely became, as Coach so eloquently stated "Fat and Happy" But fear not, the fatted calf is due for it's appointment with reality and many a lesson will be learned and or suddenly remembered on that fateful day. History will whisper the future to those who listen. Look east, young man. There is roiling storm about to break and with it will come many changes. The Eastern Prolitariat understands Globalisation in a way we will not for many years to come. There are a few billion TankMan Sympathisers out there and they will bring about a natural cure to this anomaly that we call a Democratic Republic but which is in fact any thing but. Before you conclude that this is all a bunch of Negativism by some Nattering NayBob, I suppose it is prudent to remind ourselves of certain aspects of our dark and neglected past. Human Slavery, Sufferage for Women,Imminent Domain, Monroe Doctrine, Salem Witch Trials, Annexation, The Innumerable Great Land Snatch and Grabs. The Rosenbergs, Sacco and Vanzetti, Eugenics and any number of Internment Camps. All of which would be considered inhumane and inexcusable, even criminal in this day and age. Well Mostly. So it is my contention that by and large humans all want the same things; A better life for themselves and their progeny. It is just that some some people are unable to distinguish Selfishness from Self Interest and fail to see the myriad dangers inherent in failing to do so. So hold out some hope for non linear evolution and you will be much more confident in your fellow humans to evolve in a desirable direction. p.s. I had the good fortune to get to know Bob when I attended Ball State in the early eighties and I feel confident in saying that he would enjoyed engaging in lengthy discourse with a human of your caliber.
